Earlier in the year , Janice MacLean from the British Astronomical Asssociation invited HGSAS to participate in the New Scientist Live Show as guests on their stand  - 441 in the COSMOS Section.

Christina, Dianne and I prepared 6 quizzes that we ran throughout the day with prizes of the Books "Cataclysms and Renewals" and "Star Core Zeus" by Rupert Holms, which were kindly donated by the author.

The day was very successful. Well over 100 people visited our stand and 76  entered the quizzes.Christina did a fabulous job encouraging people to visit our stand.

It was a tiring but satisfying day and we feel that a lot more people now know about our society
